To increase opportunities for collaborative research on topics of mutual interest; To highlight the work of CERC
Aim of the morning session: To highlight the work of the American Educational Research Association’s panel on research on teacher education in the US; To consider how this work can guide our thinking about research on teaching and teacher education in Ireland; To review past research and identify key topics for future research on teaching and teacher education in Ireland
Aim of the afternoon session: To provide a forum for reporting on the outcomes of the groupwork; To facilitate the exchange of ideas about how to proceed with an agenda and action plan for research projects on teaching and teacher education in the Irish context.
